“I bought a Better Homes and Gardens magazine from 1969 recently, filled with craft ideas,” Jamie Hamilton, a creator on TikTok, posted in a video of her reading the vintage magazine. The camera pans to a wall art Christmas Tree craft in the vintage magazine before panning over to that tree hung on her wall. “I thrifted this handmade vintage tree in 2022.”
“Ghost of Christmas Past?” she wrote in the caption. “The tree in the magazine was an example of what people could make. In 2022, this exact tree wouldn’t show up in an image search.
