IKEA’s Gorgeous New Workout Line Is Finally Bringing “Home” to Home Gyms

IKEA's first-ever line of workout gear is here, for a more aesthetically pleasing at-home workout. Learn all about the brand new DAJLIEN exercise gear line from IKEA.

The new year is (somehow) just around the corner, and IKEA is releasing an exciting way to fulfill the most popular resolution: to work out more. Enter DAJLIEN, IKEA’s new 19-item home training collection. This isn’t just any other industrial-looking home gym line, though. Each piece channels a minimalist and soothing feel, fitting in seamlessly with your other furniture. The equipment is easily hidden in plain sight and even doubles as other functional pieces.

To create this unique collection, IKEA looked at the most common barriers people face when it comes to working out. The answer: Time and space. What do you do when you don’t have room in your schedule to hit the gym but can’t fit a home gym in any of your rooms? Maybe the answer used to be giving up a workout—but now you have DAJLIEN.

The new product line features different types of training equipment, all with a minimalist design that's easy to store and multi-use. The gentle colors and natural wood tones make every piece resemble your everyday furniture, and they're not bulky or intimidating. So yes, you can leave it all out in your studio apartment or living room space while still keeping your aesthetic—say farewell to the pull-up bar above the bathroom door.

“DAJLIEN is all about supporting movement and helping people live more active lives at home," said Akanksha Deo, designer at IKEA Sweden, in a press release. "We have designed a collection that helps bridge the gap between home and active life, that recognizes that training can take many shapes and forms, and that you don’t need a lot of space to do a simple workout."

Many pieces in the collection are designed to be multifunctional, so you don’t have to give up any furniture space in favor of fitting in a blend-in home gym. Whether it’s extra loops on towels for easy hanging, a training bench that doubles as a coffee table, or an air purifier that doubles as a fan for heavy workouts, it's obvious functionality is at the forefront.

The minimalist wooden training bench comes with inner storage compartments. The exercise support cushion doubles as a lumbar pillow, and you can even use it as a sleeping pillow. Training pieces are also designed to be easy to take with you wherever you go, so nothing can come between you and your workout. Just grab your travel-size DAJLIEN yoga mat, ring dumbbells, and soothing green belt bag, and head out the door.

The collection doesn’t stop at just exercise equipment, either. You can also invest in post-workout wellness products items, like an air purifier, massage ball, and even a portable Bluetooth speaker.

The price point is just as accessible as the products themselves. Yoga mats start at under $20, their exercise set retails for $35, and the training step stool is available for $45. You can create an entire home gym spanning weights, mats, a training bench, and workout accessories for just over $200—about the price of an average single free-standing pull-up bar.

“With DAJLIEN, we wanted to create smart, beautiful products to inspire and redefine training as a fun, easy and natural everyday activity,” said Sarah Fager, one of four DAJLIEN designers, in a press kit.

You won't have to wait too long to get your hands on the new line, as it comes out in January 2024. Once the set releases, it's only available for six months (or while supplies last), so don’t hesitate to grab your favorite pieces.
