Starbucks Is Launching Iced Energy Drinks to Help You Beat the Afternoon Slump

Just as we're getting into the hottest days of the summer, Starbucks is adding two refreshing beverages that blend sparkling fruit flavors and iced tea to its menu.

Are you ready to chill out this summer? With record-high heat sweeping the country, keeping cool is a top priority. Thankfully, the new Iced Energy Beverages from Starbucks are here to make it easy to for you to keep it moving without breaking a sweat.

For the first time, the coffee chain is offering hand-crafted, sugar-free drinks combining sparkling fruit flavors and iced tea to give you a boost of refreshing goodness to get you through the warmest of days.

Starbucks Iced Energy Beverage Flavors

The rollout includes two Iced Energy Beverage flavors for you to try:

The Melon Burst Iced Energy features refreshing melon and cucumber flavors balanced with bright Passion Tango tea, served over ice. At 180 milligrams, the caffeine content is similar to a grande (16 ounces) Starbucks Cold Brew.

The Tropical Citrus Iced Energy is for you if you’re a fan of passionfruit and citrus. These fruit favorites are blended with mint-tinted green tea—iced, of course. It’s 205 milligrams of caffeine—also about the same as the 16 ounce Cold Brew.

Speaking of cold brew, Starbucks is also introducing two new Sweet Creams to its year-round menu: non-dairy Vanilla Sweet Cream and non-dairy Vanilla Sweet Cream cold foam. Try them in the following new beverages, available to order on the Starbucks app and in stores:

  • Iced Non-Dairy Salted Caramel Cookie Matcha
  • Non-Dairy Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold Brew
  • Cold Brew with Non-Dairy Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold Foam
  • Non-Dairy Chocolate Cream Cold Brew
  • Non-Dairy Salted Caramel Cream Cold Brew
  • Added to your Cold Brew drink of your choice

If you’re hungry, Starbucks has you covered with two new anytime options—an Egg, Pesto, and Mozzarella Sandwich or a Blueberry Strudel Muffin. Both are permanent additions to the Starbucks food menu.

You can enjoy any of these (or other favorite) drinks in one of the new multi-colored cold cups or a bright, lime-green Stanley quencher, available while supplies last. Plus, the Starbucks Artist Collaboration series continues with cups designed by Ananya Rao-Middleton, a woman of color who uses her artwork to share her experiences as a traumatic brain injury survivor living with multiple sclerosis.
