We found that they were great for storing leftovers thanks to the multiple different sizes offered, and they also worked well in the microwave and freezer. Each tempered glass food storage container comes with an accompanying lid that locks into place, so food stays fresher longer. Each piece performed exceptionally well in our tests and we found that these containers are particularly useful for heating food up in the microwave. The tempered glass is strong and durable enough to handle different temperatures without chipping or cracking.

Whether you pop them in the oven, microwave, or freezer, these containers will safely preserve both your leftovers and fresh foods alike.
The set performed exceptionally well in all of our tests, and we love that the locking lids have a silicone gasket that helps keep them airtight and safe from spills. We didn’t notice any liquid leaking out at any point in our testing process, so we felt totally comfortable storing soup or sauces.
Better yet, they were a breeze to clean—nothing stained the glass and each piece was easy to clean by hand or in the dishwasher. Keep in mind that the lids of these containers don’t interlock, so they can get a bit messy when stored in a drawer or cabinet.

One of the biggest challenges of preparing meals in advance is making sure all the different components stay separate and don’t get soggy. That’s where these glass food storage containers come in handy. Each of the eight pieces are constructed with built-in dividers, so you can store things like fish, pasta, and vegetables completely separately within the same container. That means each part of your meal will stay fresh and flavorful for however long you decide to store it.
These containers easily passed all of our tests—the accompanying snap-on lids made sure that no liquids leaked out of the sides, and each individual compartment stayed dry, too. Although the extra compartments mean there are more corners and crevices to clean, we didn’t have any trouble getting stuck-on food to scrub off. These are easy to clean by hand and did great in the dishwasher. While these are stackable with the lids on, keep in mind that the glass dividers made this set tough to nest. If you’re tight on cabinet space, these might not be the best option.

Nothing leaked during our tests, and the clear lids helped create an airtight seal so foods—like lettuce and avocado—stayed fresher longer.
We love that the containers are made from thick, sturdy glass, so each piece feels really durable, whether you use it in the microwave to heat up dinner or in the refrigerator to store leftovers. They were easy to clean by hand or in the dishwasher, and nothing stained the sides. We also love that despite the varying shapes and sizes, these containers are still easy to stack and nest for efficient storage.

That’s why we love this streamlined set for beginner or occasional cooks. It includes five storage pieces in varying shapes and sizes that can hold different food items—like a big batch of chicken noodle soup or a small serving of homemade salsa—in durable, BPA-free containers.
Each container comes with a matching lid that’s outfitted with four tabs to help lock in moisture and freshness. Though the lids are plastic, they’re made with a silicone gasket that seals when locked in place, which we found to be completely leakproof and totally efficient at keeping foods fresh. Not even a drip of water slipped out of the sides—even when we shook water vigorously in each container.

Not only do they nest when not in use, they also easily stack together when stored in the refrigerator. We love how sturdy the lids are on these containers—the tabs lock each piece in place and a silicone gasket ensures an airtight seal—which is why we would absolutely feel confident toting these on-the-go.
These containers are smaller than some of the other options on our list, so although they’re not ideal for storing large quantities of leftovers, they are an efficient way to pack lunch or snacks to bring with you to work.

This option from Pyrex is sturdy and easy to clean, which means it’s ideal for whipping up cheesy, saucy casseroles or sweet, creamy pies. Made from tempered glass, it’s stronger than standard glass and can easily accommodate changes in temperature.
Throughout the testing process we couldn’t help but notice how simple this dish made our dinner time routine. It can easily go from refrigerator to oven and straight to your table—which means it helps cut down on dirty dishes in the process. The plastic lid is durable and tight fitting, too. We didn’t notice any water escaping during our leak test and no foods ever got freezer burn when the lid was locked in place.
When it came time to wash the dish, we noticed that the lid was trickier to clean, especially around the crevices near the handles. But by no means was that a deal-breaker. Considering how functional this dish is, we think it’s a great value for the money and would be a welcome addition to any home cook’s kitchen.
