During testing, we found that the Pom Pom at Home Cotton Percale Sheets were both breathable and durable. The cotton sheets are offered in four sizes and have a 15-inch pocket, so we didn’t have any trouble fitting them on to the tested mattress.
Like other percale sheets, we observed a smooth and crisp feel and gave this set a perfect score for texture. We did feel the sheets were slightly less soft post-wash, but overall it still had a nice feel to it. The sheets also received a perfect score for breathability, too. After applying a water droplet to the sheets, we noticed they expanded, indicating good moisture-wicking capabilities.
The set is only offered in white and when it came to stain-resistance, we felt it performed above average. The foundation stain was about 50% lighter after washing while the coffee stain was completely gone after washing. It faired well during the abrasion test, however, as we didn’t notice any difference in the sheets. We felt that the sheets were a bit loose when first making the bed, so be prepared to do a little extra tucking to get it smooth just the way you like it. While there is an all-around elastic band to make it stay on the mattress firmly, we really had to tuck the bottom of the fitted sheet to smooth out the corners. Plus, we were concerned that the band could stretch out over time.

If you prefer more of a standard cotton feel, these Riley Percale Sheets fit the bill. We found that they were soft and cool to the touch, though there was a bit of crispness to them that reminded us of sheets in a hotel. Plus, they’re a great option if you’re in the market for more colorful sheets for your bedroom.
While these sheets were soft and comfortable, they didn't feel silky or slippery like some other sets can be. Instead, they felt light and airy, which is exactly what we liked to see in the sheet. It was disappointing, however, to see that after a wash the sheets shrink quite a bit, resulting in a snugger fit on the mattress and the pillows.

Upon initially inspecting this sheet set in our testing lab, we noticed that the sheets felt durable and high quality. We appreciated the wide elastic band in the fitted sheet that made making the bed an easy process.
When moving around in bed with these sheets, we found that they provided a slight heaviness so they didn’t get tangled when we moved. The sheets felt thick and soft, but not too heavy that we felt uncomfortable. They felt cool to the touch, and helped keep us at a comfortable temperature at night.
After washing the sheets multiple times, we didn’t notice any color fading. There also weren’t any loose threads or other signs of wear. The only issue we noticed with this sheet set was that it seemed to attract quite a bit of pet hair—we found ourselves having to use a lint roller on the sheets occasionally.
Although these sheets are available at a reasonable price point, we felt that they were comparable in quality to more expensive sheets we tested. Because of their quality, durability, and comfort, this set was one of the best percale sheet sets we tested.
