The Sunnyglade 10Ft Outdoor Adjustable Offset Cantilever Hanging Patio Umbrella is an awesome option if you’re looking for something budget-friendly that doesn’t sacrifice quality and durability.

We loved this option because it withstood inclement weather so well during testing that we could still sit outside even when it was raining. That said, we didn’t feel comfortable leaving it outside during high winds because it wasn’t quite sturdy enough to trust that it wouldn’t topple over.

It’s very easy to adjust the umbrella in order to block the sun as it shifts, though we did need two hands to change the height. The umbrella tipped to the left slightly on the absolute highest setting, so we’d recommend putting it just below the max so it continues to lay properly.

While the product page says an additional base is not required and that you can weigh the included base down with sandbags, we did feel that a heavier base was necessary.

It’s pricier than most options on the list, but it held up well in all kinds of weather during six months of at-home testing in Iowa—hail, wind, rain, sun, and even snow. It includes a base and built-in solar-powered LED lights which makes it great for evening use or outdoor parties.

The manual tilt and crank lift system makes it easy to adjust and move this umbrella, which we found blocked the sun completely when we were under it. We used it almost every night through Summer and into the Fall before covering it up with a tarp when it got too cold to sit on the deck.

None of the umbrella’s components degraded during the testing period aside from the handle to open and close the umbrella, which began to require more force—we’re hopeful that adding a lubricant or rust remover will fix this issue.

Practical backyard items aren’t always attractive and, if we’re being honest, we saw some pretty utilitarian cantilever umbrellas during our research and testing. That is certainly not the case with the Grand Patio Deluxe Napoli Patio Umbrella.

This umbrella is available in several colors and patterns that suit even the most niche outdoor aesthetics, like luxe champagne and classic black and white stripes. The canopy is made of high quality polyester that gives it a polished look and helps it withstand harsh weather conditions.

It incurred zero damage during the testing period thanks to the polyester canopy and powder-coated aluminum frame that helps prevent rust. We found the umbrella did an excellent job of blocking out both sun and rain. We were also pleased that it didn’t absorb any odors.

Like many of our other favorites, the umbrella can be rotated 360 degrees and includes an air vent that reduces wind pressure while allowing heat to circulate rather than getting trapped under the canopy. It’s built to withstand exposure to sunlight and is fade-resistant.

While we foresee having to clean the umbrella during pollen season, we were happy to report that there was no visible wear and tear after some rain during the initial testing period. The umbrella also dried well, which eased our fears about mold and mildew buildup.

The fabric looks and feels high-end despite the relatively budget-friendly price tag and provides ample coverage from the sun, enabling us to work outside. It’s a fun round shape that is great for smaller decks while the poles are easy to tilt as needed.

Keep in mind that there is no rotation, so we don’t know that it would provide full coverage from the sun at all times of the day.
