There's no shortage of festive appetizer and treat ideas out there, but this recipe is about to become your favorite.

Genuine question: Is there any occasion that wouldn't benefit from a pizza added to the menu? Whether it's a spontaneous delivery after a night out or homemade pie served al fresco at a dinner party, you can't go wrong. Halloween and fall-themed get togethers are no exception—and the TikTok-trending pumpkin pizza bombs prove it. Here's how to make the festive handheld favorite.

TikTok creator @chefgenevieve first introduced her pumpkin pizza bombs to the app in 2021. When she re-shared her video in 2022, it racked up a spooktacular 5.8 million views. This year, she added the full ingredients list to her post, and her step-by-step tutorial makes creating the adorable snacks an easy and enjoyable feat.

How to Make Pumpkin-Shaped Pizza Bombs

According to @chefgenevieve's video, she combines mozzarella, ham, pepperoni, and sliced olives. (This serves as the filling, so feel free to customize these ingredients.) Roll out a sheet of dough on a baking sheet, and cut it into six portions. Form each into a ball and flatten it, then scoop your filling into the center. Pull up the sides of your dough and seal it together at the top, making sure there are no holes—you don't want any cheese escaping.

To get the mini pumpkin presentation, take three pieces of twine, lay them out in a star shape, and place your pizza bomb in the center. Bring up the twine along the sides and double knot it at the top. Snip off any excess, line your baking sheet with parchment paper, brush some herb-garlic butter on your dough, and bake your pizza bombs at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 16 minutes.

Once cooled and ready for final touches, remove the twine and use pretzel sticks as the stems. Add pizza sauce to a scooped-out mini pumpkin (or pumpkin-shaped bowl). You can even make them ahead of time so you can truly relax before having guests over—just reheat them in the for 10 minutes at 350 degrees.
